Company creation
On January 6, President Bashar al-Assad issued Legislative Decree No. (3) of 2024 establishing the General Company for the Manufacture and Marketing of Cement and Building Materials - Omran to replace the General Corporation for Cement and Building Materials and its affiliated companies, linked to the Minister of Industry, and the General Corporation for Internal Trade of Minerals and Building Materials, linked to the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection.
